NEW ENGLAND IN THE FALL PART 1

It feels so good to be home after almost 3 weeks on the east coast! However, a week and a half later I'm still struggling with waking up at 4:00 am which of course is 7:00 am eastern time! We had such a great time with my folks and meeting up with Jess and Drew in Boston, which these are pictures of by the way. Above is our first glimpse of New England fall color from the plane. And then there was Boston Harbor, sparkling like a jewel! I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning!
As our plane descended lower and came around for landing at Logan International Airport, I just couldn't resist taking more pictures from the plane window. Sorry, Jessi, I know it's a touristy thing to do, but I just couldn't help myself!
And so ended Thursday, October 9th. Friday we would drive to Newport, Rhode Island where we would meet Jess and Drew around noon. They had left Virginia after work on Thursday and drove up as far as New Jersey. Then Friday morning they headed on up to meet us in Newport. "To be continued."

Looking forward to more. I've been waiting for your pictures and stories.

The time change is a tricky one. We just returned home from our trip and are struggling with waking up way too early as well.

Wow...you really know how to tease us! Have been waiting for your trip pictures. This is a trip that we'd like to take in the future too. But, first, our big anniversary trip to Hawaii next fall! So neat that you coud go with your parents and meet up with Drew and Jess too. I miss Jess' blog! I like seeing her travels.

Cathy, Can't wait to see the pictures from Hawaii next fall! And yeah, I miss Jessi's blog too. I'm trying to talk her into starting it up again to chronicle the building of their new house. We'll see!
