ANOTHER WEDDING!
We ended August with yet another wedding. This time it was Dennis' field of expertise. I think this is the prettiest white on white cake he's done yet. 
It reminds me of an embellished Victorian ceiling. 
The wedding was held in the yard of a couple from our church family on Saturday evening. What a difference a couple weeks made in the weather. The wedding in our yard on the 16th was in the triple digits. This one was in the 60's and breezy, so they set the reception up inside putting the cake in front of the window. With the weddings behind us, it's back to dividing iris, and canning the beans and tomatoes out of the garden, keeping up with the raspberries, and now the corn is ready! Before we can go to Boston, which is coming up quickly, we have to paint the south side of the house, finish up the plan for the sun room addition and get it submitted for estimates (if we're going to start it this fall), and 6 bushels of Gravenstines have to be made into applesauce! With that said, you might not hear from me for a while.

I was wondering where you had been and missed you. What a beautiful cake. It looks like a lot of work, but I am glad he enjoys it. He is so good at it.

Prettiest whit an white cake, maybe, but my vote still goes to the first one he made.... :)
That must have been your cake, Andee! That is a beautiful cake. Well, I'll forgive you for the upcoming lack of postings, but we all will expect for you to make up for it after you get back from your Boston trip!
