CARISSA AND HER YANKEES IN SEATTLE

Rissa's train arrived in Seattle 3 hours before game time, so she was able to watch the warm ups. This was as up close and personal as she could get. She was hoping for a few autographs. It didn't happen, but not for lack of trying.
Our national anthem.
The Yankees played before a packed crowd. Carissa had a seat behind 3rd base 35 rows up.
Well, Carissa picked the best game of the 3 to go to. The Yankees scored 5 runs in an awesome 7th inning, and end up beating the Mariners 7-3!

I am glad it all worked out for her to go (and come back). Looks like fun.

Yes, the coming back part that Alysun is referring to was a God thing. Uncle Tom and Aunt Sherri, who live in Olympia, were planning to come down to Oregon that weekend anyway. They actually delayed leaving until the monring after the game. They drove up to Federal Way and picked Rissa up at a park and ride where she had taken a bus to after the game. Big sigh of relief from the mother who had fretted and stewed and lost lots of sleep about the legistics of this trip. Thank you so much Tom and Sherri!!!!
