MARCH 29TH? ARE YOU KIDDING?

This is what we woke up to yet again this morning. This has been some Spring Break!

You know it has to be Spring though. Look at all the new growth on the climbing rose.
One day soon we will be sitting on these benches soaking up the sun, and this latest snow on record will just be a memory! Until then more of the same is forcast for tomorrow!

IS THIS REALLY SPRING BREAK?

At about 10:00 this morning it started snowing hard, and within minutes everything was glazed with a coat of white. The temperature dropped from a balmy 36* down to a chilly 34*! I quickly went out to capture the beauty before it all melted away.

WATCHING AND WAITING...

So what have we been up to for the last month? You knew there had to be a good reason for the silence! It's become a morning ritual for Bernard and I to watch and wait for the Stellar Jays to come and eat the black oiled sunflower seeds I throw out for them every morning. Me, while fixing breakfast and waiting for the tea water to boil. Bernard...well he just sits in the windowsill watching without any pretense of doing anything else! Oh, the life of a cat!
We've also been watching for signs of spring and nice weather to come. However, I have been spending a lot of time outdoors doing spring garden clean-up warm or not. In fact I need to get out there right now instead of blogging. My yard is calling me!
But...what we spent most of the last month doing, was watching and waiting for the right car to come along. I should say intensely looking for, because we've been looking for more than a year now. We had our long list of prerequisites and a budget to stick with of course, which some told us would make it impossible to find. But we were patient, and knew when we finally found it with a list like we had, it would definitely be from the Lord. It's a 2005 with heated, power, memory seats that fit like you're wearing them (my requirement). And of course, both of us agreed it definitely had to be black (one salesman was just sure that charcoal gray would be good enough!!!). The neat part is, God threw in a sunroof, which we didn't even know we wanted, but have fallen in love with. And here it is, God's car!
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
By the way, Josiah is the proud new owner of the Grand Am. Of course he's been the one driving it to school and work for almost two years now, which was why I was getting desperate. It's nice to know I can go uptown or make appointments for whenever I want without having to work around the availability of transportation! God is good!
