Jessi will remember how hard we had to look for our covered bridges in Vermont. Well, as we're driving towards Eugene...walla, there's the
covered bridge built in 1938.

Last stop,
Mazzi's, for some
calazone before heading home. We love
Mazzi's calazone so much that we drive clear to Eugene for the treat since they're no longer in Salem, or even Portland anymore. So since we were already in Eugene, of course we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Of course Josiah had to have
Fettuccine Alfredo and Jeremiah his pizza, but
Rissa, Dennis, and I were savoring each bite of sausage, mushrooms, and gooey cheeses folded into that tender crust and smothered in an awesome marinara sauce. I'm salivating just thinking about it!!

Great places to visit. You guys are always so good at finding the fantastic spots around OR. I definitely want to check out Clear Lake now. And now I am also hungry for calzone. Thank you.
Wow, Alysun, that was a quick comment! I'm not even done posting yet! I know if I didn't save all my posts for one sitting. You're lucky it rained today, or I still wouldn't have got caught up!
Mazzi's! I haven't heard that name in years! Yummm! I can just taste that Calzone now! I didn't know they were still around in Eugene. Of course, we never go to Eugene, so that's probably why! Looks like you guys had a great Sunday together. Nice seeing everyone, including Jeremiah in the pictures! :-) When are we going to see your finished kitchen?!
Ah! The kitchen! Well, it looks just like it used to, which of course was the goal, with the exception of the wallpaper that had to be replaced due to the painter not knowing how to take down masking! I'll get a picture sometime for you though, it's just so busy with summer weather to deal with. Wait for rainy weather.
Alysun you've never been to Clear Lake? Well seeing those pictures reminds me of some good old days exploring Oregon with Jeff & Dan and company :) By the way it's Sahal-i-e Falls :) Well Oregon is a fine state I hope you folks still living there don't take it for granted!!
