MYSTERY DESTINATION REVEALED

Did you guess? Were you even close? Jessi your guess does not count!
Chimney Rock is located in...(does the picture help?) North Carolina! The Biltmore Estate is located in Ashville, North Carolina. A beautiful state with day lilies growing wild on the sides of the roads...it's all that rain, warmth, and the resulting humidity! It's like one big greenhouse!
But there is just no place like home with our nice dry heat, even if we do have to water to get our day lilies to do well!
I was so happy to see my own yard that morning upon arising after falling into bed at 3:00 am. We'd had a 23 hour day getting home because of delays by you guessed it...thunderstorms!
It may not be the Biltmore, but it's home.
I was so excited to see that the creeping thyme in the pavers was still blooming and my new iris, Purple People Eater, had waited to bloom till I got home!! What a welcome! I'm so thankful to our loving Heavenly Father for providing opportunities for travel and adventure, but also for the pure and simple joy of returning home. A precursor of what it will be like to finally get to go home to our heavenly mansion to live forever with Jesus our wonderful Savior!! What joy that will be for those of us who have asked Him to be Lord of our lives resulting in our names being written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Revelation 20:15 warns, "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." But God had a plan to save all who would receive Jesus His son from this horrible eternal fate. "Since the children have flesh and blood, he (Jesus) too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Hebrews 2:14&15 Like any gift though, it must be received.
COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS!

Your garden definitely rivals the Biltmore, and I'm pretty sure you don't have as many staff to help. :) You should have Joey check his facebook - Drew's posted updated pictures of the walkway..not quite done but getting there!

Ahh, North Carolina! You did get to see so much beauty while you were there! Lucky you!...but, I agree...your gardens are so spectacular...if you get to come in August...everything will be dead in my yard, probably!
