LONGWOOD GARDENS

This is the Main Fountain Garden built between 1928 and 1931 by Pierre S. du Pont. It covers 5 acres and features 380 water jets, with the highest jet reaching 130 feet in the air!

There is so much beauty everywhere you look. It's almost a sensory overload!

I took this picture thinking of Daryl, as he features so many different grasses in his nursery here in Dallas. When we got home, Josiah informed me that Daryl's Nursery actually donated a lot of grasses to Longwood Gardens! This is probably some of Daryl's grass!

And look who we found amongst all the giant gourds and pumpkins!
One thing we noticed was how they really go all out decorating for fall back east. Beauty and the Beast? And don't ask which is which! The Topiary Garden is just beyond. You should see pictures of it with snow!
